Hi,
Is the new version of the bot ready for download yet? I would like to give it a try.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to work on the new version!
I just one question. Do the answers have to be one word? IE..."TestTest" vs "Test Test". On your old version of this bot I used a "_" IE..."Test_Test" to separate answer words. That worked, but it would be easier if I could just have a space. Will your bot take multiple word answers?
Thanks again

Yes it should work ok with multiple words.

Hi,
Can an answer have commas and/or periods?
Thanks

Hi,
How could I change the bot so that instead of immediately giving the correct answer it would just say something like "Wrong, try again." Because as of now the bot will give you the correct answer as soon as a wrong answer is entered. Couldn't it be set to not give the correct answer until a set time limit has passed? Like two minutes.
Also, it seems that the bot will get killed if users talk before typing "START" again.
Thanks

No punctuation can be used in the answers, as the AIML interpreter strips out all punctuation.
The reason I made him give out the correct answer was so that people wouldn't just sit there and guess all day. I can revisit that if you like though.
Yes if the users starts the game then decides not to play any more they can chat away as normal rather than forcing them to play. This was intentional. However I am always open to opinions/suggestions.

Hi,
I don't mind if people guess a few times. Is there a way to set a time limit before the bot will give the correct answer and then move onto the next question?
And do you mean users can chat normal as long as the "START" isn't typed? The members in my room talked after one wrong answer, but after we typed "START" again the bot wouldn't ask the next question. (Got Killed)

Ah I see. Yes once the user starts talking again the bot will think they don't want to play any more and not bother with the game. You will have to say wordplay to it again to start it up. It's really meant for a one on one chatter rather than a roomful of users.
I can't set it to a time limit but I could set it to three or four guesses before it gives the answer away?

Hi,
Oh, so this isn't really able to work that well with more then one user? I was hoping to use it with ten or more users at the same time. I also had a problem during my testing that I was the only one the bot would take answers from. Another user replied with the correct answer but the bot didn't even respond.
And four or five guesses before giving the answer would work fine.

Hi Steve,
Also, what do you test/use your bots on, mIRC? I'm trying to use this on a script called "FlashChat".

I don't use any Instant Messaging programs for my bots. The flash interface I wrote is all Bearbot uses.

Hi Steve,
I've done some more testing and found an issue when using the bot. When I play the trivia game it only sees the person who started the game. If a person who didn't start the game tries to answer the question the bot will reply as if the game wasn't being played. However, even after that happens if the person who started the game talks the bot will go back to playing the game.
Do you know about this? Is there anyway to make the bot take answers from anyone?
Thanks

Sorry again, but my scripts are designed for one on one chat. I've never really thought about incorporating them into a multi-user chatroom and to be honest, would be unsure about how to go about it.
Naturally, if anyone is able to amend them to work with more than one chatter, please feel free.
